Reference from Some Successful Campaign

I have found some picture references for my outcome of ambient media. The reason why I have chosen the concept of mother and child or a family is because, I want the people to imagine: what if this happens to you? Such as losing a mother at such a young age, and the children have to survive in a harsh environment.

However, I personally prefer Figure 3 as my final outcome, as this can show the sadness of the cubs more obvious.

Concept for the Sketch

After one week, I have finally come out with my sketch idea for this endangered animal campaign. the outcome of if will be in lenticular image, which I planning the location of this lenticular image is at bus stop, where everyday there will be people waiting for bus.

The first idea of my sketch, is about a tiger mother laying down, with her cubs playing with her happily. However, the other image which the audience look from different direction, it will be the two cubs staring at their mother's skin which hanging on the wall.

The second idea of the sketch, is about a tiger mother and cubs facing each other. But when the audience look from different direction, it will change to a cubs hugging the mother's head skull.

After showing it to my lecturer, her comment of the first idea is: the two images looks quite different, as the first image is in horizontal; and the second one is in vertical. Whereas the second one will work, but instead of skull, why don't change to the cub hugging the head of the mother tiger which have made it into a carpet.

Initial Sketch for Rough Idea

After deciding on what topic I wanted to do, I start sketching out with very rough idea of how my ambient media is going to look like.

However, ideas above are not really impressed by my lecturer. So she suggest me to do something with lenticular images, which is viewing 2 images in different angles. (Playing with since I was a kid, but now only know what is it called... =..=")

Endangered Animal Campaign

For Personal Boundaries assignment, we are given the tittle of creating an ambient media which we never done it before. From my point of view, ambient media is a real life media which can interact with people. Hence we have to create an ambient media with PSA (Public Service Announcement).

Hence, I have chosen the topic on "Endangered Animal Campaign". The animals that are facing extinction are: Black Rhino, Sumatran Tiger, Orang Utan, Shark, etc. These animals are hunted down widely mainly for their organs or other parts of their body for producing medicines, clothes and etc. 

The reason why this campaign was chosen is because I have go online search for animal campaign and saw some dead body of some extinction animal. It is so cruel to kill one innocent animal just to get their body parts to fulfill the greed within human. If this continues without stopping, most probably the next generation or the generation follow by will not be able to see those animals anymore.
